Are you looking to learn how to play in a band, meet like minded people or just try something new than this is for you! Starting January 2020 every Thursday evening 7:30-8:30 is band night at House of Chords. Included is professional instruction and setup. Ben Chalker is an upcoming artist who already recorded a few big names in the music industry and can regularly be found behind the glass on recording projects . We are lucky Ben is giving us some of his time during his academic studies at The School of Music at Memorial University to show a small group of students and enthusiasts the ins and outs of this field in a well structured workshop. You will walk out of this coarse with a finished recording you made together.
Bert Power is a young, and already accomplished, artist who can regularly be found on stage with some of Newfoundlands finest musicians, in bands like Dunungbe, playing energizing rhythms from Africa. Also igniting Taiko drums from Japan, contemporary styles, classical and Jazz rhythms are masterfully channeled through Bert's hands. Bert can regularly be found performing with accomplished and awarded academia at The School of Music at Memorial University and is currently finishing up his musical studies.
