Isn't that interesting and amazing that two people coming from away are starting up a studio in St. John's !?

I was born and raised in Japan, spent a year in Toronto, then four years in Mexico, then one year in Vancouver, aaaaand the last destination has been St. John's for the last five years.

Me and my friend Marijn, who is from Netherland then has also been several places like Spain, Germany, Belgium and Canada, met for the first time in a Isla Son rehearsal (Isla son is a local band specialized in Latin music).

I have had good and bad moments in Newfoundland, but one thing I really appreciate is that I really feel like I am a part of the community. Through many choirs I have worked with in last a few years, I met so many lovely people. So starting my own business here in Newfoundland seems natural (although, of course I am excited AND nervous at the same time!).

Anyway, I am so excited to meeting you all through our programs. We are hoping to bring many exciting things to the community so please stay tuned!
