Ana Luísa Ramos
​
The Brazilian singer, songwriter, vocal coach and curator, Ana Luísa Ramos released her first album in 2016. Working in the classical and popular fields, she has performed in Austria, Denmark, Argentina, Scotland, Portugal, Uruguay, Panama, Canada and studied in Argentina (Cesar Tello - Teatro Colon), Austria (Barbara Bonney - Universität Mozarteum) and Canada (Bohdanna Novak - McGill).
Ana has recently moved to St. John’s, Newfoundland, and is currently working on her new album to be released in 2020.

Ben Chalker
​
Ben Chalker is a musician from St. John’s, Newfoundland. He has assisted at local recording studios such as Record Time Productions, he also works as an assistant recording concerts at Memorial University’s School of Music. He has recorded concerts such as The MUN Jazz Ensemble, The Atlantic String Quartet and The MUN Chamber Orchestra. Prior to working at Memorial, he assisted in concert setup for artists such as Blue Rodeo, James Taylor and Hedley at Mile One Stadium. Ben is currently studying classical guitar at Memorial University.

Bert Power

Bert Power is a composer, percussionist, and improvisor from Arnold’s Cove, Newfoundland & Labrador. He studied percussion with Rob Power & Bill Brennan and is studying composition with Andrew Staniland & Clark Ross at Memorial University School of Music. Bert performs with and is co-director of Nova Collective, an ensemble dedicated to the performance of new music in purposeful spaces. He has been involved in the St. John’s International Sound Symposium since 2014 as a performer, improvisor, and technical assistant, recently composing and organizing the Harbour Symphony. Since 2015 he has been a member of Dunungbe, a drum and dance ensemble under the direction of Tony Tucker. He currently works as a technical assistant at Memorial University School of Music.

TuitionStudents will receive 35 lessons per school year, including recitals. Yearly tuition for 30 minutes of private lesson per week is $940 and 60-minute lessons $1870. Yearly, quarterly or monthly payment options optional.

CancellationIf lessons are terminated during the school year a four-lesson notice in writing will be required or a four- lesson payment can be made in lieu of the four-lesson notice. There will be no refund for lessons that are terminated after the last day in February since a vacancy is difficult to fill at that time in the school year. At withdrawal a closing invoice will be issued outlining all moneys paid and or owing and then any remaining tuition will be returned or refunded. Also, any lessons owed the students at the time of withdrawal will be considered written off.

AttendanceStudents are expected to attend lessons regularly and be on time. The schedule can not be altered in case of lateness on the part of the student.

Make-up lessonsMake-up lessons will be scheduled in a timely fashion and before the end of the school year in case of: - Teacher cancelation - Weather related closure of the studio up to a maximum of one closure per school year - Student cancellation up to a maximum of one cancellation per school year.

Refunds, deductions of fees and rescheduling lessons"There will be no refund, deductions of fees or rescheduling of lessons in case that: - A lesson is missed without notification - Canceled less than 24 hours in advance - In case make-up lessons remain after the school year ends. Teachers will provide adequate make-up slots during the school year. *If a doctor’s note can be provided cancellations will be accepted within 24 hours.
